Van der Ende sets the pace in wet Zandvoort practice

Ricardo van der Ende set the pace on a progressively drying track and put the #8 Ekris M4 GT4 top in this morning's practice session at Zandvoort.
Returning to the Dutch circuit for the first time since 2017, the GT4 European Series was met with wet conditions for the morning session. On a drying track lap times continued to improve, until a red flag stopped the session.
Soon after the rain returned to the Dutch track and no further improvements were made. Van der Ende's time of 1:48.276 remained the fastest time set in the one-hour session.
The Dutchman's best effort was 0.062s faster than Cedric Freiburghaus in the #1 Phoenix Racing Audi, with Benjamin Lessennes going third fastest in the #14 Equipe Verschuur McLaren (+ 0.094s).
Fourth fastest overall and first in Pro-Am was Duncan Huisman in the #69 V8 Racing Chevrolet Camaro, ahead of the Silver Cup entered #16 True Racing KTM and #68 V8 Racing Camaro.
Marius Zug (#111 RN Vision STS BMW) was second fastest in Pro-Am in seventh overall, with Kay van Berlo (#30 Selleslagh Racing Team Mercedes) setting the third fastest time in tenth.
CMR driver David Loger set the pace in the Am class, with Bob Herber in the #31 Selleslagh Racing Team Mercedes just 0.005s behind in second. Gaby Uljee completed the Am top 3 in the opening practice session.
