Ortmann loses pole for Nürburgring Race 2

15 September 2018

The #104 PROsport Performance Porsche Cayman PRO4 that qualified on pole position for tomorrow's final race of the season had all its times from Qualifying 1 and Qualifying 2 deleted after failing the technical checks after the session.

The car did not conform with the homologation form and the stewards of the meeting decided to strip Alexander Mies and Mike David Ortmann of their pole position as well as the second place on the grid for today's race.

Equipe Verschuur's Ricardo van der Ende will start tomorrows's race from pole position, while Gael Castelli will line up next to William Tregurtha later today. Mies and Ortmann will start from the back of the grid.
