Equipe Verschuur quickest in first Nürburgring practice

Equipe Verschuur led the way in the first practice session for the final GT4 European Series round at the Nürburgring, with the #10 McLaren 570S GT4 setting the fastest lap of 2:06.497 in its first session since Free Practice 1 at the Hungaroring.
The car of Finlay Hutchison and Ricardo van der Ende was just 0.059 seconds quicker than the #13 Schwede Motorsport Porsche Cayman GT4 CS MR of Marc Basseng and Phillip Bethke, the current Pro-Am points leaders. The #104 PROsport Performance Porsche Cayman PRO4 of Mike David Ortmann and Alexander Mies finished the opening practice for its home race in third place.
Silver Cup contenders Stuart Middleton and Will Tregurtha finished the session in ninth place with the #55 HHC Motorsport Ginetta G55 GT4. Phoenix Racing’s Milan Dontje and Nicolaj Møller-Madsen were 13th fastest, Max Koebolt and Simon Knap finished 16th fastest overall.
Second behind the Basseng/Bethke Porsche in Pro-Am was the #24 Felbermayr-Reiter KTM of Gottfried Pilz and Horst Felbermayr Jr, while the #9 V8 Racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R of Luc Braams and Duncan Huisman was third fastest. Title contender Markus Lungstrass ended the session fourth in class.
Porsche Zentrum Oberer Zürichsee by TFT Racing’s Niki Leutwiler was the fastest AM driver, ahead of Budapest double race winner Nicolas Schöll in the #42 Allied-Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 CS MR. Autorlando Sport drivers Giuseppe Ghezzi and Alessandro Giovanelli were third.
