BMW Motorsport confirms Visser and Menzel for GT4 European Series
15 March 2018
BMW Motorsport drivers Beitske Visser and Nico Menzel will compete in the 2018 GT4 European Series with an RN Vision STS BMW M4 GT4.
Visser was part of the line-up that gave the BMW M4 GT4 a debut victory in the GT4 European Series at the penultimate round of the season at the Barcelona circuit in September of last year, while Menzel won the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia title.
"I am really looking forward to getting started in the BMW M4 GT4 with Nico," said Visser.
"I had the chance to drive the car in Barcelona last year and recorded a win at the first attempt with Dennis Marschall so now I am hoping to continue the success with Nico."
"It is great to be able to spend a race season driving a car having been involved in its development," added Menzel.
"I am really looking forward to the GT4 European Series as the racing there is at a very high level. I think that we have a great set-up but we also understand that Beitske, the team and I will need to get some experience first."
BMW Motorsport's decision to place its junior drivers at RN Vision STS was welcomed by the team's managing director, Marek Zuchowski.
"For us, the collaboration with BMW Motorsport within their Junior Programme is a special accolade and a great challenge. Above all, it is a unique opportunity for our up-and-coming team," said Zuchowski.
"We have some very ambitious objectives for this year and beyond. We’re convinced that working in such a professional environment will help us to achieve our goals."
