James joins Nicoll-Jones in Academy Aston Martin

Academy Motorsport's two-car line-up for the 2018 GT4 European Series will see British racing driver Fiona James join Matt Nicoll-Jones in one of the team's Aston Martin Vantage GT4s.
Nicoll-Jones and his Academy Motorsport team finished second in the Silver Cup and Teams' championship of the 2017 GT4 European Series Northern Cup, with Will Moore partnering Nicoll-Jones throughout the year.
This season Nicoll-Jones will not race with Moore, but with former Supercar Challenge driver James.
"I'm excited to be joined by Fiona for this season. Fiona is a very talented driver who gives her all, and I think it is incredibly important especially after taking a big step up. Fiona has proven she has got the qualities for this step up, and I am excited for what the season holds," said Nicoll-Jones.
James is looking forward to making her debut in the GT4 European Series alongside Nicoll-Jones.
"I'm really excited to be racing with Matt in the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and am looking forward to progressing with his help. It's a big step up to be racing in European GT4 but I'm really looking forward to the challenge," she said.
Academy Motorsport missed last week's official test day at Zolder, due to other testing commitments at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimao, Portugal.
The line-up for the team's second car is set to be announced at a later date.
