Beelen and Nathan complete V8 Racing line-up

10 March 2018

V8 Racing has finalized its line-up for the 2018 GT4 European Series by signing Wolf Nathan and former GT4 European Series champion Jelle Beelen.

Beelen won the title in the previous iteration of the Camaro back in 2015 and the Dutchman will return to the series after a one-year break from GT4 racing.

"The car is a significant step forward from the Camaro that I raced a few years ago when we won the title”, said Beelen. “GM, Pratt&Miller and V8 Racing have done an excellent job and this car is a great weapon to be able to race with.”

"My last race in a GT4 car was back in 2016 at Spa-Francorchamps, the fire at V8 Racing brought my GT4 season to an early end. When V8 Racing got the new car I got in touch with them again and after a single test it was clear I wanted to race the car," added Beelen.

Nathan, who raced the V8 Racing Chevrolet Corvette in various series, was equally impressed after the Zolder test, but the Dutchman also realizes it will be a challenge to win the title.

“There are over 40 cars here, run by great teams and driven by some big names so we will have to be at the top of our game. But with this team and this car we should be in the mix," said Nathan.

"We know both drivers really well. Jelle raced for us in the previous version of the Camaro and took the title in 2015 while Wolf has been part of our GT Open and 24h Series programs. There is a lot of trust and confidence between us and this is vital If we want to hit the ground running with our new Camaro GT4.R”, explains team-owner Rick Abresch.

With Beelen and Nathan in one car and Duncan Huisman and Luc Braams in another, V8 Racing's line-up is complete and team manager Francesco Pastorelli expects the team to fight for the title.

"With these two line-ups and the support of Pratt&Miller we have given ourselves the best possible foundation to push for the title in the Camaro’s debut year. All of our drivers have worked with each other before and together we will push to get the most out of our comeback season in the championship," said Pastorelli.
