Will Moore and Matt Nicoll-Jones will share one of Academy Motorsport's Ford Mustang GT4s in the GT4 European Series this season.
The pair last raced together in the GT4 European Series during the 2017 season and will be reunited for the upcoming campaign. Moore and Nicoll-Jones will also share a car in the British GT Championship.
"I'm thrilled to have Will back with us for 2020," Academy Motorsport's Managing Director Matt Nicoll-Jones said.
"Having the same driver compete in both the GT4 European Series and the British GT Championship brings a strong continuity to the team, and it means he will have ample opportunity to get to grips with the Ford Mustang."
"Will and I know how one another works, both in and out of the car, so for us to be able to race together is an ideal pairing. I can't wait to get back in the driving seat. The Ford Mustang is a strong car, it performed brilliantly last season, so we know what it is capable of."
Moore returns to Academy Motosport for another season of GT4 racing, having raced with Matt Cowley during the 2019 season.
"I can't wait for the season to start. I’m putting in a lot of hard work behind the scenes to get myself ready for the season. I've been around the paddock long enough now to know what it takes to win races and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for," he said.
"Although the Mustang isn't a familiar car, Academy Motorsport is a familiar team, I'm part of the furniture now. The circuits on the calendar are familiar territory and by doing both championships I'm certainly going to get enough seat time to get to grips with the Mustang. Matt is a quick team-mate and we’re a good pairing. We've come close to the title together in the past but hitting the post won't do this season.”
Academy Motorsport still has two seats available in the GT4 European Series for a full season campaign in its second Ford Mustang GT4. Drivers interested are urged to contact the team directly.
